Prizes:
- 1st Place in Each Section: $50
- 2nd Place in Each Section: Free Game Block (Store Game Library Pass)
Tournament Format:
- Quads: Players will be grouped into 4-person sections based on rating.
- Rounds: 3 total rounds per player.
- Time Control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5-second delay (G/25; d5).
- Sections and games will be US Chess-rated.

- The first round starts promptly at 9:00 AM.
- The store will be closed to the public during the event, but coffee and pastries will still be available for players and spectators to purchase.
- Please arrive by 8:45 AM to check in and be ready for pairings.
- Pre-registration is required – no walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the event.
New to Chess Tournaments? No Problem!
This event is perfect for both experienced players and newcomers looking to try out a fun, structured chess tournament in a relaxed setting.
- This is a US Chess-rated event, meaning your games will count toward an official chess rating and a paid membership is required.
- If you’re not a US Chess member yet, signing up is quick and easy! Just visit www.uschess.org before the event.
- A US Chess membership allows you to participate in rated tournaments nationwide.
Affordable options are available for adults, juniors, and first-time players. If you're unsure about the process, just ask—we’re happy to help!
All players must provide a US Chess ID number at check-in.
What to Bring?
- Bringing your own chess set and clock is strongly encouraged.
- A few chess sets and clocks will be made available by the store if participants do not own their own.
